This tape measure would be plenty good enough for the casual user, and at the competetive price (it was one of the cheapest at this length) is a fairly good deal. If you use a measure of this length on a regular basis i.e. in your work though, I would definitely recommend purchasing something of a better quality.A builder who was giving me a quote on some work borrowed my oringinal measure and cleared off with it so I wanted something cheap and cheerful in case he brought it back (never did) and this looked suitable. In general it is, with good clear increments both metric and inperial, a good latch to hold at the required distance and a rubberised outer case for good grip. The downsides are that the casing is not that substantial so don't know how long it will last, the belt hook is not really strong enough to hold it in place, (mine has fallen to the floor on occasions) but the real hassle is that the metal tape itself is too thin, so when you extend it to measure anything long (that's why you bought a 10m tape) it just curls up or flips over and just won't stay flat, a real pain. If this was thicker then it wouldn't happen.In summary, I wasn't expecting a "Rolls Royce" model for the very reasonable price I paid, and so I have no cause for complaint and don't wish to, but from a revue point of view I wanted to point out what I consider the short-falls are so it's clear what you get for your money.
