I bought these primarily for my 7 year old son & 3 year old grandson. Wow! I’m impressed! With the lids snapped on, these little boys have *dropped* them and no leaks or spills! They are much sturdier than some others I have bought over the years. Due to their price point, my expectations were fairly low. I was wrong. They are excellent.The ones that the lids fit onto the cups are great! Work exactly as shown. It’s just that there were 4 of them that neither I or my husband could get the tops to stay on. So I had to throw them out.I was concerned after reading the reviews, but this was in my price range at the time. I have only used it for water so far, but I have been very pleased. I have not had any spills. In my own "test" I did find that if I turned the cup completely upside down a few drops came out. I would imagine Melissa and Doug are better quality, as that is an excellent brand. However, the price difference is big. Given, the price difference and the good quality these cups have been I think these Chenille Kraft are the better buy.Good product, good cups. My only real complaint is there feels like there's a design gap where ti should be easier to stack these things. The cups stack ok, but the lids and the covers don't. That's my only complaint (other than I really only wanted 2-4 of these and now have a dozen).These paint cups are great! We've had them for about 7 months now and we've not hd any spills! My son uses them on his Melissa and Doug wooden easel and they fit perfectly. Be careful not to fill them real full or there will be paint on the handle of the paint brush. The crayola kid's paint (10pk) works nicely with these - the amount of paint in the crayola set fills these paint cups to about the bottom line which ends up being the perfect amount. We've yet to refill them too! I definitely recommend these!The lids fit snugly but cannot be secured - they don't screw or clip on - so one careless nudge and you risk tipping paint all over the place. I stupidly filled them all with paint before discovering the lids do not fix, or I would have returned them.My 2 year old loves painting with thses and great mess freeWonderful. Just like I remember from my own pre-school days. Even my grandchildren failed to make a mess with these pots!
