I have friends who have their family recipes that don’t have measured amounts just a tad or a smidgen so this fills the need to how much they were taking about olAlthough I really only needed two of these (the 1/8 and 1/16 size), I have to admit these are handy to have on hand. I do have a older recipes that call for a dash or a pinch and now I know what that is! My only suggestion is if they'd put the actual size on the spoons also. Another reviewer mentioned the sizes and I used a Sharpie marker to write it on the backs.I needed to measure out raw artificial sweetener that has a serving size of 1/64 of a teaspoon. I bought this set and I am very happy with it. They are small, and thin, but that's the nature of the beast. If you need to measure below 1/8 (or some sets 1/4), you will need these.This stuff is amazing!! Looks like sugar, tastes like sugar. You can use it in the same ratios as sugar and you can bake with it (not that I ever bake). There are no calories, no glycemic load and best of all, no neurotoxicity like artificial sweeteners have. These helped my wife and me to measure tiny amounts of powdered medicine for one of our dogs, and saved us a great deal of time every day. Cute too - most people don't know that there are actual measures associated with "Pinch", Smidgen", etc. as commonly found in recipes. We're giving a set to each our daughters and our sisters for Christmas.I always had to look up how much a "Dash", "Pinch", "Smidgen", etc, was when following recipes (I am not one of those cooks by taste, although I wish I were). Now I have the correct amount every time. I was so excited when I found these measuring spoons that I ordered a second one to share with my daughter. The shipping was fast, which I appreciated. They both loved them because they've got many old recipes that call for these "non-standard" measurements. I got them mainly as a novelty item but they've actually been using them quite a bit. I was really impressed with the quality of the steel and expect them to last a long time.I love the little spoon sets. However, I had to return one package (2 sets), because one of the sets had 2 pinches and no dash! I didn't have the option to return just one set from the pkg, even though one of the 2 was just fine.
