This is a nice little measuring cup for when you are making Rice. Some reviewers seem to be confused about what this cup is intended for.The markings correspond to the water you would use if using a special rice measuring cup.1 合 (Go) is the traditional measure for uncooked rice. You normally use 200ml of water per 1-Go of white rice. The markings on this cup are for the amount of water you need when making rice. The markings are NOT US/Imperial Cups and have nothing to do with unrelated liquid measurements.(There are also gram estimating scales for Sugar and Wheat but I don't expect to need those.)
